"The Last Phoenix was created by five students from VFS' Game Design programme over a three month development cycle using the Unreal Engine. The project has won Best Final Project of class, as well as being awarded the highest visual score in Vancouver Film School history.
"The Last Phoenix players control over a majestic fire-bird who's tasked with relighting the fires of the world to rescue what little life remains. The planet has been consumed by vicious Carrion-birds who are ripping the planet apart, and only by mastering the Phoenix' power of flight and fire, can the world's fires be restored.
"Featuring dazzling aerial melee combat, and dynamic restoration of color and vegetation in the world, The Last Phoenix is also an open-world game, giving players the opportunity to explore a mysterious ancient island.
Currently, the team is running a Steam Greenlight to try and get the game available for distribution and one that is successful, they want to develop the project further by organizing a Kickstarter to fund their efforts."
